In September 2018, a tragic crime unfolded at a CinnamonnChillies restaurant in California. The incident involved a previously convicted felon, who had previously worked at the establishment. Wood, along with accomplices, plotted an armed robbery that would lead to devastating consequences. The Crime happened on the night of September 15, 2018, a man entered the CinnamonnChillies restaurant armed with a firearm. He held four employees at gunpoint and attempted to rob the establishment of cash. During this violent act, he shot and killed two employees. The total amount stolen during the robbery was approximately $875. Wood’s actions were described as “execution-style” shootings by law enforcement officials. His gun malfunctioned when he attempted to shoot another employee this allowed her and another worker to escape unharmed.
